Dream Catcher

About

If you’ve ever played live dealer games such as roulette, blackjack or baccarat, you’ll know how exciting it is to play in a real-time virtual casino environment. But, perhaps you fancy trying something other than a classic table or card game? In which case, it’s time to meet Evolution Gaming’s Dream Catcher!

This game is a unique Wheel of Fortune-style game that is streamed live from Evolution’s studios in Riga in both HD and Classic modes. The game allows you to see both the wheel and your host from multiple angles so that you never miss a second of the action.

The idea is to bet on a numbered section of the wheel in the hopes of winning a prize. You can also win multipliers of 2x and 7x which are awarded if you choose the winning number on the subsequent bonus spin. After each spin, you have the option to continue or leave the game, and there’s an auto-play function that you can use to place back-to-back bets as well as set loss and single win limits.

Why we love it

Dream Catcher offers you way more than a typical live dealer experience as the gameplay is lively, upbeat, and not as serious as your average live blackjack game, for example. There’s a lot more banter between the hosts and the players, and you’re encouraged to join the conversation via the chat window.

DREAM CATCHER WHEEL

The Dream Catcher wheel contains fifty-four numbered segments, which are all separated by pins. Fifty-two of these segments contain numbers (1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 40), and each number is denoted by a particular colour. E.g. 2 is blue, 1 is yellow, and 10 is green. The two remaining segments are marked “2x Multiplier” and “7x multiplier”, and if the wheel stops on one of these, you get a bonus spin and if it that spin’s a winner, the multiplier is applied to your prize.

GAME RULES

The rules of Dream Catcher are simple. All you need to do is pick one of the six numbers (N.B., 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 or 40) that you think the wheel will stop on, and place a bet on it.

Once all bets have been placed, the dealer spins the wheel, and when it comes to rest, the winning segment is shown by the pointer at the top of the game screen.

If you win a game round, you’re paid according to the odds listed at the bottom of the screen. E.g., the number 1 pays 1:1; the number 2 pays 2:1; the number 5 pays 5:1; the number 10 pays 10:1; the number 20 pays 20:1, and the number 40 pays 40:1.

If the wheel lands on a multiplier segment, your bet remains in place and no new bets are allowed. The dealer then spins the wheel again, and the winning number is multiplied twice or seven times depending on the value of the multiplier.
